This Classe CD .3 CD Player Serial #0160313 was TESTED for over a week in my office system. It will play Redbook CDs and CDRs, HDCD-encoded CD and CD-Rs, and even the CD layer on Hybrid SACD. Everything works very well. The only issue I found was that the unit will not recognize an occasional CD-R. The unit was SERVICED in the following ways: The CD Tray belt and pulleys were cleaned with alcohol. Old grease was removed from the bottom of the plastic tray and new grease was applied. The internal laser lens was also gently cleaned using 99% Isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab.The RCA outputs, Balanced output pins, and AC input were treated with Deoxit.The case was cleaned and detailed.
