Selling this currently non-functional preamp/processor. I had it in to look at repairing it and was told its power supply is bad. I was quoted $750 to repair. I was also told the battery contacts in the remote need replacing. The remote is also missing one foot. Otherwise it was working perfectly prior to this issue, though that was over 2 years ago. I can’t make any guarantees that it doesn’t have other problems. Cosmetically, the unit is in ok shape but is close to 20 years old and shows its age. There are some minor smudges/knicks/etc. Please check the photos, do your research, and ask any and all questions before bidding. I will do my best to answer. The picture (albeit standard def) was amazing as was the sound. If it still worked I would consider keeping it just for music, but the kids demanded a (lesser) 4k-compatible system. My loss. The volume control dial is huge, which I like, because I have big hands. There is also a USB port, which is configured for connecting to your iPod (the oldest versions of iPods will not work with this port, however). The rear panel: You can see the on/off toggle, a grounded AC socket, digital input connections consisting of a USB jack, XLR, three coax, and four Toslink optical jacks. There are also trigger jacks, and RS-232 jack, and an Ethernet port (for future use). Analog inputs include three sets of coax and two sets of XLR. Analog outputs are two sets each of XLR and coax. The USB jack on the rear is asynchronous (as is the one on the front), and is for use with a computers digital music output (so, consider this input a USB DAC).

Classe Audio CP-800 MkII Stereo Preamplifier The CP-800 MkII differs from the original CP-800 as it has an upgraded DAC board that supports higher resolution sources and is an overall higher quality DAC.
