Nautilus – ein Hochtöner ohne Dissonanzen Der von Bowers & Wilkins patentierteNautilus-Hochtöner ist seit vielen Jahren – und in verschiedenen Varianten –Standard bei fast allen B&W-Lautsprechern. Das Nautilus-Prinzip besteht auseinem Rohr, das auf der Chassis-Rückseite montiert ist und wie eine umgedrehteTrompete funktioniert, die effektiv alle Dissonanzen und Kompressionseffekteunterdrückt. Die Aluminiummembran besteht aus einer völligneuen Sandwich-Konstruktion, die erstmals bei den großenCM10-Standlautsprechern zum Einsatz kam. Auf der Membranrückseite ist einezusätzliche Schicht aufkaschiert, die die Hauptmembran verdoppelt und lediglichdas ausgeschnittene Mittelloch aufweist.
