Classic High-quality British made speakers — Made in England by Rola Celestion Limited in Ipswich Suffolk (Celestion International) are in their original cabinet. Vintage from the mid to late 70’s these were wood veneer but painted black. The cabinets have minor imperfections, some corners dinged, scuffs and markings mostly due to age. The pair of speakers are in great shape considering age and suitable for a collection or usage. One of the sub cones has a piece of electrical tape, possibly a tear but does not effect sound quality. The speaker has a nominal system impedance of 8 ohms, and it is rated to deliver a sound-pressure level (SPL) of 87.5 dB at 1 meter when driven by a 1-watt input. It can handle up to 60 watts of “music-power” input and is recommended for use with amplifiers rated from 10 to 60 watts per channel. The frequency response of the Ditton 110 is rated at 78 to 20,000 Hz ± 3 dB. CELESTION DITTON 332 vintage speakers in walnut The cabinets have been cleaned and lightly sanded, then refinished with Danish Oil. Internal damping foams were washed. All the metal driver surrounds have been painted. Original grill cloths have been refreshed (washed) and re-glued. Crossovers have been re-capped by HaycrossAudio: -Existing inductors tested and retained. -Capacitor pads removed and boards cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. -New matching value ALCAPs fitted to woofer and midrange circuit. -Poly capacitors fitted to tweeter circuit to improve clarity and openness. A resistor is added to correct the change in ESR. -resistors replaced with higher power rating. -New high purity copper wiring added. Consecutive serial numbers : 328701 / 328702 Original grills cloth covers + specification leaflet Great sounding speakers. 8 Ohm 90dB senitivity 100 Watts max power rating H 650 mm W 356 mm D 285 mm

He literally had it in a box with several other components packed down in the basement of his house in Denver. I am not an audiofile or a stereophonic inclined person. But he was. And Im sure there was a reason he packed this away. A lot of crazy nights and a lot of Miami Vice and a lot of Camaro hot rodding through the Rocky Mountain canyons. That was my brother. This was his. I dont have the ability to test it or promise you any thing. But what I CAN say, is it hasnt been plugged in or turned on until I took these photographs in 2023.
