A clean, original and great sounding pair of these classic monitors, these dating from circa 1977 as per the sequential serial nos. of 64519/64520 and date codes on the drivers. Bass/mid woofers are the 8 bextrene B&W DM200/4 with excellent surrounds, the tweeters doing the work are Celestion HF1300 (also with 1977 code), plus the Coles 4001 Super Tweeters for handling frequencies only audible to dogs and those significantly younger than me. All work well, crossovers as far as I can tell are original, there may be some benefit to a recap but they are sounding really good anyway. The cabinets have a few marks to be expected of the age but the only notable knock is pictured (to the left hand side of 64520) and not really obtrusive unless looking directly at it. The chocolate brown grilles are pretty much perfect-the photos make them look much blacker than they are. These are large and heavy units, hence the shipping cost, but they will be carefully packed for safe shipping-collection in person is preferred if possible.
