The lower CDP-D11 and CDP-D12 power up but report disk error when played.Consulting with youtube reveals that sometimes it is dust on the Laser LED.Other times it can be led desensitivity (over time), and an onboard potentiometer (presumably LED brightness control) allows a restoration of function. It may be something else though, I havent delved into it, only tested them with an audio CD. Hopefully a nice fix for someone. UK mainland shipping quoted. Thanks for looking
