Here we have one of the most beautiful and sought after Carver amplifiers, the M500t. Yes you saw in Ferris Bueller‘s Day off with the recognizable twin VU needles dancing. This one is fresh back from having an overall health check, new LED Bulbs, and completely recapped using high quality capacitors from Nichicon, TDK, and Nippon. All adjustments made per the repair manual and specifications verified on load tests at 4&8 ohms. It’s a beast that runs pretty cool during the most demanding music sessions. Condition is very nice with some scratches on top most likely from component stacking. This amplifier also comes with the optional handles, which give it that studio rack look. From the front view it looks great! If you do a little research on Bob Carver you’ll find that he is a genius electrical engineer who went against the status quo building high-performance amplifiers that were affordable and extremely reliable.
