This is one rare coveted Carver M-1.5 Magnetic Field Power Amplifier!!! This one has Bob Carver signature in two places: the top cover and front panel!!! Bob Carver founded Carver Amplifier and has a long famous history with these amplifiers. The company was sold and Bob is no longer involved, thus, no more of these amps will be made and no more will be signed! In addition, its signed by Rita Helm of Ritas Vintage Audio Repair Shop in Washingon who specialized in Carver amp repair! Ritas is closed, thus no more amps will be serviced and no more amps will be signed by Rita. Since this amplifier was in for service at Ritas shop in 2009/2010, all the work was done to Carver standards using original components. See picture of Ritas shop description along with note that Bob stops by and signs amps!! This amplifier sounds amazing, its ultra quiet with no input and absolutely cranks with music, check the clip. Also, note that is a Model M-1.5 amplifier and that the front panel says One Thousand Two Hundred Watts R.M.S. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a near mint amplifier, that looks like new, is a low serial number, 87, works perfectly and has the original box with matching serial number with Bob and Ritas signatures. Offered for sale is a complete working stereo in excellent condition. The system involves the analog equipment M1.5 amp, C1 preamp, TX 11 tuner with a Torx antenna, and Carver CD player. The digital plane is the Apple iMac running Lion so you can get access to iTunes on the radio function for free. Later versions of the Apple OSX involve a paid subscription. This rig is set up for free iTunes. A Torx FM antenna feeds the TX-11 tuner. The KEF speakers are in excellent condition. Now comes the hard part. I have set up an Ipod 16Gig to be programmed with 5000 songs from my iMac, burned in with no restrictions. Per Apple guidelines these are worth .1 to .1.0 per song. I am not giving this away and need a buyer to make inquiry to purchase my library of songs. This is a complete working system that sounds excellent. The only flaw is that the Carver CD player door does not open, discounted in the price. Overall its in great cosmetic condition and is fully operational. It has a slight hum when theres no input, and makes a pop sound a few seconds after power off. The ground port of the power cord is also missing. This has not affected functionality and overall it is very powerful. Shipped with USPS ground advantage. And remember to be frugal, and be phenomenal!
