Remote is NOT included. The tuner section is capable of both Am and FM reception. It has memory for 16 stations using the 8 preset station buttons which can be set manually. The tuner will search for stations either manually or automatically. It also has what Bob Carver (designer) called an ASYMMETRICAL CHARGE COUPLED FM DETECTOR or ACCD for short. This is patented circuitry, which can be switched on or off, allows the tuner to eliminate multipath distortion on FM stations. A complete description of the circuitry is contained in the owner’s manual, a reproduction copy of which is included in this sale. The preamplifier is equipped with a Phono input with proper signal boost and equalization as well as inputs for CD, Video 1/AUX, Video 2/ Aux, Tape 1 Input, and Tape 2 Input. Outputs include the main Preamplifier outputs for the power amp as well as Tape 1, and Tape 2 outputs. It also has a ground for the Phono cartridge. The preamp has three tone controls – treble, midrange, and bass. It has a headphone jack and is capable of remote control operation although I do not have a remote control for it (never needed one). Aftermarket remote controls are always available on eBay if you feel the need for one.
