For most audio cables, the propagation speed of the conductor (the speed at which the signal reaches) slows down towards the center of the conductor compared to near the surface. Due to this difference in propagation speed, a part of the signal reaches before the main signal, causing a delay in signal transmission time. The conductors of the Reference series have been extensively researched to ensure uniform signal propagation speed in relation to the inductance of the conductor itself, making it possible for 100% of the signal to reach the receiving equipment simultaneously. The Reference series cables have uniform propagation speed and extremely low capacitance and inductance, so they are not affected by the length of the cable.
