Cambridge Audio CD-6 Compact Disc CD Player acquired from the estate of an audiophile. Unfortunately, this unit is wired for 220v-240v, so I have no way of testing. I removed the cover, and I believe there is a board in the back which one can convert this unit to 115 volts. I dont know the proper procedure in changing the position of the wires, so I am leaving it alone and leaving that to an individual knowledgeable in electronics. What I can state is that this CD player is built better than any other CD player I have ever acquired. Cosmetic condition is very good with a few marks on the front glass. Working condition unknown. For sale is rare Cambridge Audio CD-6 CD player in good working condition. Serviced, recapped and tuned by professional technician. New belt was installed. Laser did receive the optic cleaning and found in good shape.All necessary maintenance was done, including cleaning and re greasing of the gears and sliders.Unit have normal signs of use with few small nicks and some rubbing marks. Player was tested with industry standard Phillips SBC playability test CD (SBC 444 A) (not included for sale) and pass through all test tracks with no skipping or any audible distortion in sound, so laser and electronics can be considered in good shape. CD payer read and play all CD digital audio recorded media.Sounds amazing due to dual TDA1305T DAC and Burr Brown output op amps, accompanied with OsCon and Phillipsfilm capacitors.Three power transformers and separate power supply design.Separate low noise power supply for the clock TSO.Vibration damping sheets were installed for the best performance. Unit have balanced outputs, regular RCA, and BNC digital output.One of the best performer in this price range.
