In der 2.000€ - Klasse (mindestens!) findet sich wohl kaum etwas Besseres - immer noch nicht!! Typisch für den Verstärker: Die Lautstärke ist über die mitgelieferte (Original Cambridge) FB ganz normal regelbar wie bei allen anderen Verstärkern auch. Am Gerät selbst (wer macht sowas?) muss man den Lautstärkeregler langsam drehen um die Lautstärke zu erhöhen oder zu senken. Das ist KEIN MANGEL, sondern liegt an der Cambridge - typischen Siliziumgate - Lautstärkeregelung, bei der die Lautstärke über den gesamten Bereich sehr fein eingestellt wird und und der Kanalabgleich sehr präzise funktioniert. Ich weise lediglich darauf hin, weil der Laie diese Eigenheit evtl. nicht kennt. Wer mit dieser Besonderheit des 851A nicht klar kommt sollte bitte nicht bieten!!. Cambridge Audio 851A Intergrated Amp with Remote Control. As you can see this is working as part of an all Cambridge system apart from the Dac ). The display is brand new and was fitted by Richer Sounds technicians . This all analogue amp really kicks ass at 120 watts a channel -it powers my Dali 5s beautifully . The reason im selling (and im really not sure i should ) is because i have purchased a Rotel pre- power combination (you can see the pre amp on top of the Cambridge ) and i want to claw back some of the outlay for this new system . Be aware - there are no digital inputs on this amp -no usb bluetooth coax etc . This is an old school intergrated amp and it plays my collection of Rock /folk rock/ progressive rock / Metal and indie rock with real power and deep bass . It also has tone controls ( all the audiophiles gasp in disgust !) but they can be over ridden and are very subtle any way . It can also be used as a Pre -Amp . I used it briefly with the new Rotel power amp and all that happened was it just got louder ! It can be seen /heard working and i would prefer pick if poss as its flippin heavy (i will of course post if necessary )
