This is a lightly used California Audio Labs remote control for the DX-1 cd player. Being used, it has some minor marks and could use a light cleaning. Protective film is still on the face of the remote. No batteries are included. Last picture shows a remote control signal detecter and shows it lit up the light.

Hello. Got this one in a trade and I am the second owner. Dont really need it, since I have two too many CD players/transports as it is. Might as well find a good home for it.Cosmetically it is in Good+ condition with only few minor scuffs on the plastic display window,not visible from afar. Working condition: The previous owner got it repaired and re-capped at some point because it was skipping on some tracks as per his story. As a result, new Nichicon capacitors were installed, new power switch on the back was installed, transport is no longer skipping any tracks and works with CD-Rs just perfect;however,it is no longer respond to remote control,which is NOT included in this sale but I tried to operate with remote control from another CAL Transport and it does not respond. So, manual operation only.The manual operation is a bit tricky because there is NO Stop button. Only four buttons on the front: Open/Close, Next and Back track, and Play. For the short duration it was in my system that didnt bother me. It is a Transport,which means you will need an outboard DAC to connect to. It features the RAE 0113Z CD Mechanism.There are three different Digital outputs available: AES/EBU XLR type which is the BEST one to use if you have a DAC with that input, more convenient and second best is Coaxial RCA type output, and the last and least favorable is an Optical output. All three works great and the unit sounds wonderful. It used to be true audiophile unit back in a day,and still can provide hours of sonic bliss connected to the good DAC.The display works but a bit dim but fully readable.The unit will come with standard power cable. Nothing else is included. There is NO: original box or remote. Nothing else is included. Whatever you see on the pictures/video - NOTHING else but the unit is included in this sale.Unit is for 120V operation. As with all used vintage electronics sold AS IS, but guaranteed not DOA.I will pack securely for shipping. Local pick up is welcome.

This is a used and functional 5 CD changer from California Audio Labs, with the original remote. It’s in good working order, sounds great and has the quietest changer mechanism I have heard. It is a bit finicky with older, scratched CDs though. Maybe the lens could use a cleaning, I’m not sure. Compared to most changers, it’s heavy and built like a tank.
