This has been part of a system powering a pair of Klipschorn KB-WO’s(other auction). I used a CD player to test all the inputs, no issues. All the controls and associated LED’s work. I initially heard very slight static when moving some of the dials, but that seems to have reduced or gone away after use. This and the MC7270(other auction) have been unused for a few years. The L70 walnut case has some blemishes, but not that bad, also the unit just floats in the case, no locks or method of securing case to component. The remote may be junk, the batteries were left in(see picture). I have the original cardboard box, it’s in fair condition. This is LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. Hello. This is a solid-state McIntosh preamp that sounds fantastic. I’ve used it with various amplifiers, and it has always made beautiful music. It has that Mac house sound. Smooth and powerful with a touch of warmth while also being detailed. It is very easy to lose yourself in the music. By the way, the phono section sounds fantastic, too. The front panel light bulbs, previously incandescent, were replaced by LEDs. They are a bit brighter and don’t burn out like the original ones. The condition is very good with some various marks on the top cover. The front is perfect. Looks handsome in an equipment rack. All buttons and knobs function perfectly. No noise or issues. It comes with a Logitech Harmony remote control that controls Volume up/down, mute and power. The original remote is not included. I don’t have the original box but I will pack it very well and also make certain that the front panel has extra cushion so the glass front panel will arrive in one piece. Overall, the unit is in excellent condition with minimal wear due to age and use (fine scratches, discoloration). The glass is free of scratches but does have a **crack** on the left.
