VINTAGE BUSH ARENA TA 2700 STEREO TUNER AMPLIFIER RECEIVER Tested and mostly working. Issues; The left speaker is a bit quieter than the right speaker. Its not that obvious, only when you move the balance from left to right you notice it. The Tuner is too quiet. Some of the buttons are scratchy and affect the sound quality. Apart from the above issues, everything works. It probably just needs an internal clean/service to bring it back to its former glory. Good used condition with minor age related marks

Theyve been stored ever since. I tested them yesterday, and theyre working fine - in fact the sound they produce is extremely nice. Theyre good solid speakers, and theyre very presentable - although theyve been wood-stained in a darker shade, and the upper surface on each is a slight mismatch to their sides (..the darker stain on the top face covers what were once a few small holes, made to attach wall mounting brackets). (See pictures). They each have bass, midrange & tweeter-sized cones inside their case, and each has approximately 5 metres of cable with bared wire ends. NOTE > there is no reserve on this auction. Here is a vintage integrated amplifier by Danish Hifi brand Bush. It is the Arena model, and appears to be in good overall condition, with a good straight solid wooden case, and tidy aluminium fascia, minus its superficial knobs unfortunately. Upon testing this, it powers up safely but only works on one channel so far. The controls all behave as they should, crackle free, and smooth scale operation, and if you dont mind mono over stereo imaging youll get audio through both speakers already. Im not sure exactly where the problem may be, but as you can appreciate, its not really worth someone like me spending too much time on a relatively low value item, its just not good sense, so here it is up for grabs as a workable, repairable project for the next guy or girl! This should make a really nice little amp for maybe a small turntable system or similar, and when done these little beauties have enough guts to drive a nice pair of old wharfedales etc and can sound really nice. This can be headphone demonstrated if collected from me in Nottingham (O7875749472) to arrange, alternatively i can package and dispatch for the quoted amount.
