This 260 AX was precision crafted in Great Britain, has been tested and is in excellent condition: 9.0 of 10. Used. Please see all photos for detail cosmetics. Note the almost new condition of the underneath mechanicals. The beautiful, plastic, tinted dust cover is in exceptional condition: 9.0 of 10. During design of your audio equipment layout, take into account that the dust cover lifts off – the cover is not hinged. Includes: OEM RCA patch cable. Dust cover. Shure M81MC cartridge with an ED T2 stylus. Tested with an Onkyo TX-80 receiver [not included], a vintage 33 rpm music record [not included], a pair of Paradigm Atom speakers [not included] and Pioneer SE-2 headphones [not included]. This BSR McDonald 310 AXE turntable looks to be in pretty good cosmetic condition. It does power on, spin records, and output sound, but Im listing for parts because the sound was really quiet and scratchy when I played a record through my pre-amp and receiver. Additionally, the auto start and return function seemed to be malfunctioning some or all the time. The speed selection seemed to work for the most part, but Im not sure if the 16 speed was able to be selected. It includes the dust cover, the needle and cartridge, and the ground, power, and audio cables with some interesting 3.5mm aux looking attachments for the ends of the audio cables (they are affixed to the cables in the picture). Ive pulled a BSR apart before to do maintenance on it, but I didnt feel like going through the work on this one. Hopefully it can be a fun project for someone else to bring it to full functionality! There are some YouTube videos showing maintenance and pulling apart BSR turntables, and you can find old BSR manuals online. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks for looking!

BSR McDonald 8 track cartridge player. 1970s. Item is in good clean condiditon. Inside is the BSR T-145 8 track mechanism. Has been cleaned and serviced, new drive belt installed. Connects to regular 240volt mains and connects to a hifi separates amp with RCA / Phono plugs. This is a home player only. Good sound, tape path has been cleaned and head adjusted to best sound. Some cartridges will be included on request.
