Bryston 0.4B Linestage Preamplifier Serviced For your consideration, we have a sweet sounding Bryston 0.4B Linestage Preamp. We serviced the unit, and it is in now in perfect working order. When we took in the preamp, there was an issue with a noisy relay. We replaced the relay, as well as the faulty caps in the power supply that caused the issue with the relay. All switches and pots were cleaned, and then treated with the appropriate Deoxit. All RCA terminals were cleaned, and then treated with Deoxit Gold G100L solution. This is an extremely clean sounding preamp, and we enjoyed it immensely in our house system. The build quality, as we find in all Bryston gear is top notch. Physically the preamp is in very good condition and presents itself extremely well. The faceplate, sides and back are in very good condition, and the top has some light scuffs and blemishes. This unit has the rackmount faceplate, and it appears to never have been mounted in a rack, as the holes on the ears of the faceplate are clean. We dont have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit. Upgraded Bryston 3B amplifier and Bryston 0.4B preamplifier. Both units are working with not issues. Now what was upgraded:Amplifier power supply capacitors were replaced for top quality Mundorf caps, all electrolytic caps on the amp boards were replaced for 105 KZM long life caps, bias were adjusted to Bryston specifications. All electrolytic caps were replaced. Two main resistors on the main board were replaced for even tighter tolerance 1%.Preamp: all electrolytic caps were replaced using KZM 105 caps. Power supply caps were replaced for top quality Mundorf caps like the amplifier. These units are ready for 20 years more with not issues. Best offer will get them. I will start with a low bid.
