IREL BRUNS HIFI Box NB-1A Bookshelf Speakers Working Well No a lot of information about these but they look and feel like quality speakers. Very likely foreign made. They remind me of Bang Olufsen speakers. They have the same connector terminals in the back. Because I am curious, and you are too, I had to see the whats inside. Nice looking drivers. Sound is very good from these. Tested them with music source and they sound good. No so sure about the 12 W marking on the back, I was definitely pumping more into these than that (with my SX-1250) and they got plenty loud without distortion. Cabinets measure: 10-1/2 Tall x 6-1/8 Wide x 7 Deep The grilles do not come off, they are attached by long screws to the back. NOTE: these require a special connector in the back. As mentioned they are similar (or exactly like) to B&O connectors.

I’ve tried it a couple of days ago and radio is working. speakers are in working order too and sounds amazing. The kml knob turns but the dial doesn’t seem to move. Im not sure what it is. Someone more knowledgeable will more than likely find it a quick fix. Also the display is not lighting up anymore. It was working not so long a ago. Its more than likely a fuse has gone. Other than that it still works, I had radio 1 on amongst other channels for several hours the other day. It’s in fantastic condition, no major cosmetic defects if any considering this is from the 1970s.
