I am not the original owner for many of the LPs, but I take extremely good care of my records, regardless of their previous condition. Many LPs were purchased during my USAF stint during the 80s and 90s. My personal grading method takes surface noise and play-ability into account (even new records, if not properly stored, can have gross surface noise). Because I use sensitive, high-end record-playing equipment*, I can tell you whether a record has defects such as scratch noises or skips. The physical condition of a records sleeve should be clear from the photos. Please read the description carefully before bidding or asking questions. Most of the tests consists of broadband pink noise or 1/3-octave band noise used to evaluate record-playing equipment as well as room acoustics. There is a slow 20Hz to 1kHz sine sweep on Record B (again, this is side B): The intended purpose of this sweep is to ferret out resonances or rattles within a room, but the slow sine sweep is equally useful for assessing phono equipment (e.g. cartridge alignment). I was hesitant taking the record out of its jacket to photograph it, knowing its unplayed and in MINT. Any aberrations in the photos are due to room lighting reflections and shadows, not defects on the records surfaces. Note: For your peace of mind, I know how to handle an LP record from jacket to inner sleeve, and then to turntable without ever having to touch the records flat surfaces. The vinyl LP record, instruction booklet, and jacket are in MINT (again, never played) condition, and will be shipped in a sturdy box designed specifically for valuable LP records.
