BRAUN SK 5 Splendid Condition Schneewittchensarg–Snow Whites Coffin With Additional Dipole Antenna Designed by Dieter Rams German tube radio and record player from 1958-61 Perfect Working! DescriptionThis particular radio-phonograph combination is a real rarity in this revised condition. This Braun Snow White Coffin is in a splendid and great working condition. It has a four speed record player, 78, 45, 33, 16 rpm. The tube radio picks up LW, MW, and UKW signals (Broadcast, Long Wave, and FM). Beautiful white metal casing with wooden sides.This radio phonograph was completely restored and revised. Completely Overhauled. Tubes were checked and defective replaced. All critical capacitors, defective elkos and defective resistors were replaced. The radio has been completly tuned. The record player was completely disassembled and overhauled. The engine has been cleaned and restored. The engine mounts were revised. All adjusted. New crystal phono cartridge and new needle, all individual parts were cleaned, all mechanical parts were cleaned and re-oiled, all contacts were refreshed. All cleaned and polished, technically checked, etc....(Please look at the pictures)The cabinet is in a very good condition and the labeling is like new!!! Wonderful lacquer with very small wearmarks and signs of history, all switches and knobs work well (treble, bass, etc.), no scratches or noise. The platter will move in all speeds, plays records fine and loud. The radio has some nice reception even without an external antenna. The sound is clear and the valves are in very good condition. The side vaneers are in a very good condition and silk glossy.A truly design classic by Dieter Rams which is in many museum permanent collections.It works in all its bands: AM, FM, MW and LW.The 5 tubes and the original speaker are in perfect working condition.Tubes: ECC85, EF89, EF89, EABC80, EL84.Voltage regulator works from 110 to 240V.
