I am able to push down on the sub and it moves freely and does not make any crunchy noises. I was able to hook it up to my stereo and it outputs sound and sound like a normal speaker. I dont have a way to power it to its full potential and really push it. This is a woofer that measures 12 inches with a unit quantity of 1 DRIVE UNIT 300mm (12in) dia long-throw with magnetic shielding. It was manufactured in the United Kingdom in 1996 with topnotch quality. Driver had been reconed at B&W North America in N reading MA. Since then refoamed tested and Then boxed and kept as a back up for 800 ASW sub. Tested b4 listing, foam that attaches cone to frame is in great condition. Was my subwoofer from the late 90s until last year when I re-worked our entire home theater system. We went with white speakers and this one got retired as a result. The foam surround for the cone is undamaged. The cabinet shows a few signs of wear but is as shown in the photos. The cloth grill is what shows the most wear (cat claw). If youd like some proof that it works, I can hook up a tone generator and sweep through the frequencies. It does work, though. If youre local to the DFW area of north Texas, we can meet and do a pick up to avoid shipping fees, else shipping will be extra.

This is quite hard to find B&W subwoofer with large 12” driver. It provides huge difference compared to small woofers. The subwoofer is fully working. The subwoofer was originally Cherry Brown in color, but it has been covered with a white film, so now it appears white. The film application was not done professionally, so there are noticeable flaws when you examine it closely. It comes with no grille. Please ask if you want to see anything in more details.
