For sale is a Bowei / Bowie SG-280s integrated 2A3 tube amplifier whose tube complement includes 6SN7 / 6H8C and 5U4 / 5Z3P tubes. The amp was made in China and, after doing some research, it seems thats no longer made but has a good reputation. Importantly, this is one of the older models that are more desirable and, as Im told, were based on the Sun Audio circuit design. The amplifier looks new. It came in a box with the original film seal wrapped around the transformers and chassis. I only removed the part covering the tube sockets so I could test it. Similarly, the tubes are all boxed and look as though theyve never been used. This is such a beautiful piece, I considered keeping it for myself. Since this amp had likely been sitting awhileI brought it up for 24+ hours on a variac to make sue it had enough time to warm up and format any capacitors. It had a beautiful sound. I took a couple videos when testing it. They really dont do it justice, but if youd like to see more of them, please let me know.
