Description
Boulder 850 mono block power amplifiers. (excellent condition) MSRP: $180009/10 condition 200 Watts each (2 amps included) (a 2nd pair is available) I am downsizing my home and selling off some of my stereo equipment. My hearing is not like it used to be.I would rather see it being used by someone who can enjoy it to the fullest. These mono amps have always been inside my house; on my stereo shelves; and have been powered up monthly per Boulder instructions. (not sitting in storage or a garage) Single-owner amps, look and sound like they are brand new. Package includes manuals, and power cords. As with every Boulder product, the 850 was designed, engineered, and manufactured from the ground up in their Colorado factory. Although the footprint is small, the 850 is most certainly a Boulder. Its diminutive size belies a muscular powerhouse of an amplifier. This uniquely small footprint means the 850 will work in applications and locations that would be prohibitive for conventionally sized amplifiers. The 850 can provide 200 watts of continuous output into any load for immense control and resolve. The purely analog circuitry avoids all the sonic problems associated with switching amplifiers, such as noise radiation, dynamic limiting, and distortion. With really dynamic source material you will hear this authority at work, with the kind of rhythmic response and coherence generally found in far more expensive (and larger) amplifiers. Even more impressive, the 850 accomplishes this delivery of power while maintaining refinement, delicacy, and nuance. Layer upon layer of the music’s information and detail become apparent, even in recordings you’ve heard hundreds of times before. The 850 is dead quiet both electrically and mechanically, possessing the same level of fit and finish as Boulder’s flagship products. A pair of XLR inputs leads to a fully-balanced, differential, three-stage input circuit, which ensures that the audio signal passes from the source to the amplifier free of distortion and noise. The muscular power supply with massive toroidal transformer provides abundant energy to precisely control your loudspeakers, regardless of the source material. Rugged binding posts mean tight, low-impedance contacts for speaker cables without the use of tools. A complete array of protection circuits provides reliability and peace of mind. Boulderlink and a 12V trigger for external control and monitoring allow flexibility in even the most complex custom installations. Finally, metal parts fabricated on Boulder’s precision CNC machining centers guarantee high-quality and elegant appearance in a solid, non-resonant chassis. Excellent Condition
