This Bose Acoustic Wave AW-1 Stereo Music System Cassette AM-FM has some flaws but is still a great find for anyone seeking parts for their system or doesn’t mind the issues. This was hooked up in the garage to external speakers because the left speaker had issues it might be able to be opened up and easily repaired. However, you can see external wires or connected so that they could be connected to other speakers. The right speaker comes in fine, however, all things worked. With that said there are some issues cosmetically with the tape deck cover off. The trouble button also causes the left speaker to crackle. Not sure why that is however, if you don’t touch it, you don’t hear it. I’m also keeping the power plug to go with the bag that I have so you will need one. This item is a great opportunity for anyone looking to upgrade their Bose system or in need of specific parts. Bose AW-1 Acoustic Wave Stereo Music System Model AM/FM &Tape Cassette Player with case. The battery tray connects by moving the switch to the right. I didnt have good batteries but I plugged it in and the speakers squelched but the radiio ser died. It probably needs new batteries. But you can plug it in regularly and it works great like a BOSE system should. Cassette player also works. Great piece. Just needs a cleaning in and out is all. It is heavy.
