This is a rare receiver that was made for 901s. It has the equalizer built in both A and B channels for use with 901s. You can switch the equalizer off for either channel for use with any other speakers. Excellent clean sound. The unit has been fully tested. Some very minimal signs of age (minor blemishes on corners). Thanks for looking!

BOSE 550 with the 901 EQ technology built in! Works, with issues. Definitely needs a complete cleaning. Lots of static on the right channel, seems like it is in the volume control. Both main knobs missing, can be replaced on digikey. Both meters work, but one light is out. Strong tuner. Inputs all work. You cant even buy an EQ separately for what we are asking here!

For sale is a used Bose 550 receiver for parts it powers on, no further testing has been done. it has been in storage for many years so I seriously doubt it is in working condition so it is being sold as is for parts only no returns on this item.

This unit is for parts repair UNTESTED!! I have not tested it with speakers to know weather or not it’s working properly. It is in great cosmetic condition and powers on. All knobs and buttons work great and it was in someone’s home for years unmoved

Bose 550 Stereo Receiver With Equalizer For Parts or Repair, See Notes. This reciever is listed for parts or repair only because I have had issues with the switches on the back for the equalizer. After spray cleaning them from the inside, they started acting up. One channel would work, then the other wouldnt. I let it set up for a couple of weeks, tested it again, and now everything is working ok, see photos. I have been playing it for a couple of days, three hours at a time, and it been playing with no issues. Please note it might start having some issues again, therefore I am selling as is. Thanks
