The instruction manual is not included but is available online in PDF format. This console has a progressive scan DVD player, CD player, AM-FM radio, improved acoustics, AdaptIQ technology, and the ability to connect up to 14 additional rooms of music. Testing: I plugged in the power supply. The unit turned on and off with no issues. The CD/DVD disk drive opened and closed as expected. I plugged an old set of speakers into the speaker jack. I placed a CD in the unit and it played. I found several radio stations and they played as expected. I was able to set the clock and save radio stations as presets. The sound quality was as you would expect from BOSE. I was unable to test the DVD player but I would think if it played a CD, it would play a DVD. I do not have a remote and without it, wasn’t able to test all of the device’s functions. This unit appears to be taken care of and looks good cosmetically. Very few scratches. No cracks. The flip up door to the CD/DVD is in tact, has no cracks, and is operational. Please see the photos for condition as well. Please look at all photos carefully for condition and wear.
