This is a parts boothroyd Stuart Meridian Reference Digital Surround Controller 861 With remote and power cable included. Does not power on.

My own personal Meridian 500 CD Transport which started skipping early last year. I purchased a cheap Chinese VAM1205 laser and installed it. It worked for a week and then started skipping again. Then I gave up and moved on to another player. Now I cant get it to read most CDs. Its a shame because its a wonderful sounding transport and is in beautiful cosmetic condition. There is some damage to a plastic frame around the front panel internally. Its minor and completely invisible when assembled (some chipped and cracked plastic which I glued securely). Since not having used it for a year, the tray was a bit hesitant to open at first but seemed fine after a bit of exercise. However, it may need lubrication or perhaps the microswitch needs cleaning. Also, the rubber feet are sticky. Questions are welcome! I do have a system remote listed separately. Thanks! If you use Buy It Now I will include a new uninstalled VAM1205 mechanism that I ordered from Germany. I hope its of better quality but dont know for certain!

Selling as-is, for parts or restoration. -most buttons do not respond, including the on/off button-the more button works, can do some basic setup functions (shown in pics), but shortly after the screen goes blank, and only the more button gets any response at all.-the remote shows some minor signs of battery corrosion inside the battery compartment. I was not able to get the remote to turn on, light up, or do anything. --In summary, there seems to be an issue with the logic circuitry. It could be as simple as a loose cable, or perhaps the main logic circuit board needs a battery or capacitor replaced. No repairs have been attempted thus far.
