RARE VINTAGE BINATONE COMPANION 01/4338 STEREO PORTABLE CASSETTE PLAYER - FOR RSPCA WIMBLEDON CHARITYSTOCK REF CHR By purchasing this item you will be directly supporting the work of our local RSPCA animal welfare branch. This very rarely available vintage circa 1980s Binatone Companion stereo walkman cassette player was donated to our Charity in sound and clean used cosmetic condition with various minor signs of previous use, wear and tear and storage (see pics for the exact condition of the item). A brief inspection shows that the exterior is in sound cosmetic condition with very minor blemishes, and the battery compartment has no signs of battery leakage. When the unit was briefly tested the tape transport motor was in working condition in all modes and a test cassette tape could be played with earphones attached (earphones and batteries not included in sale). The player produced stereo sound but there was some crackling when the left and right stereo volume controls were adjusted, possibly due to dust on the contacts. There is a shoulder carrying strap included in good condition.As we can only test items briefly the player is sold as a collectable display item and very interesting conversation piece in as-seen condition without warranty as to full working condition for collectors display, theatrical prop or spares/repair to avoid any possible misrepresentation, and we believe the above details to be accurate.
