It is possible that one of them is defective and has issues with its frequency replication. Since they were in a modified housing, its also possible that the issue was there and both drivers work flawlessly. To be sure I would still recommend getting them with the expectation of at most 1 of them working correctly. The fabric above the drivers is a bit ripped, which shouldnt have any relevant impact on the frequency response. The very tip of the drivers have little dents which shouldnt be an issue either, but can be fixed with a bit of care. The edges of the drivers have little cut notches, which theoretically shouldnt matter for the sound in this model aswell. The rings to put them into the housing are also included! For the selection of ear pads, the wearing comfort as well as a minimum (negative) impact on the sound quality / characteristics are the most important aspects. The selection of matching ear pads for a wide variety of different models is a very time- and cost intensive task and should absolutely not be underestimated when it comes to restoring headphones. The correct set of ear pads is responsible for half of the entire acoustic performance. 4. In which cases will I use original parts? Depending on the type of issue / replacement, availability and economic sustainability I will decide for or against the use of original parts. Very Rare Vintage Beyerdynamic DT911 Over Ear Stereo Headphones. These headphones have been tested and unfortunately one side has no sound hence why they are listed as spares or repair. Im not sure if it is the cable or the actual ear piece at fault so please only purchase if you realise that they need a repair of some kind. The internal cup fosms are also worn so will need new pieces but these are easily available online. These are extremely rare headphones and usually sell well in the hundreds when working perfectly so i have priced these fairly. Any questions welcome.
