These were the Premium Range Top model, with technology that closely resembles their High-End Models of the 1990s, such as the DT 831 and DT 931, except for its much lower Nominal Impedance. And just like its forebears, they are capable of impressive Dynamics, Resolution, Speed, Separation and Soundstaging, all the while achieving the feat of remaining utterly musical and enjoyable. Easily superior to the Classic DT 990 and DT 880 models in their current form, in my estimation. They are also extremely versatile in terms of Storage, due to its Swivelling and Foldable design. With a 32 Ohm impedance, these will perform well without a dedicated Amp, even though they will scale well when partnered with an affordable but High Quality Amp, such as the O2 in its various guises.
