Der Klang ist um Längen besser als mit dem im Iphone eingebauten D/A-Wandler. Mein neuer Verstärker hat einen eingebaut, daher der Verkauf. Aus Großbritannien importiert, mit Standard-Netzstecker. The Caiman is for an audiophile who is keen on the feature set and flexibility of having a DAC, pre-amp and head-amp rolled into one tidily made box. I dont have time to listen theses days and so, I must let it go. Clean, detailed headphone listening lies ahead for a fraction of what I paid! Heres Darkos review: The Beresford Caiman is a “Special Edition” update of the TC-7520; a benefit of the close ties that Beresford has built with the online hifi community. Opamps have been swapped for the LM4562NA and the decoder chip of choice is a Wolfson WM8716 capable of 64x oversampling. The USB input has also been upgraded to a PCM2902. To these ears, here we have another DAC that trumps the Cambridge DacMagic in the sound quality stakes and it’s cheaper to boot! Beresford TC7534 Caiman DAC & SEG Firmware. I have tried so many dacs, some well know and some not so. This has been the best. I used it with the Beresford Capella headphone amp (selling separately) and was very impresssed with the audio quality. I bought the SEG firmware (last photo) but have not fitted it yet. Apparently it is a significant improvement. I am selling because during the dac journey I have come to realise that i simply do not listen to much headphone music and prefer vinyl records on a hifi. DAC in full working order and cosmetically very good.

Complete with regular Beresford power supply, a 1m Chord Cobra 2xRCA To 5 pin DIN (180 deg) Naim SNAIC and a 1m Chord mini TOSlink to TOS link cable. Both cables were around £60 each when new.
