BANG & OLUFSEN BEOLAB PENTA TYPE 6622 High Quality Active Pair of Speakers Used. I have owned this pair of tall and elegant silver and grey speakers from new since 1991 as part of a Powerlink Beosystem 6500 and reluctantly I am selling it now because my Beomaster 6500 amp developed faults which were not repairable. Unfortunately I can’t test the speakers but I was listening to music when the amp locked-up so I’m confident of them working.I have enjoyed over 30 years of superb rock and classical music reproduction from these high end speakers without any problems. However, as is common with Pentas of this age, there are signs of foam rot in the middle range speakers. An expert has advised that they are not difficult to repair. I have not had them repaired because, with no amp, I decided to sell all the items in my Beosystem. The sound from my speakers is superb, whether it is worth repairing for better sound has to be a personal choice. I lowered my asking price to allow for any repair. The handy owner’s manual is included in this sale and I have shown some photos of the specs. Because of the sheer size and weight of these speakers I suggest personal collection only from Greenwich, SE London.
