COLLECTION ONLY * FOR SPARES & REPAIRS ONLY * READ FULL DESCRIPTION. JOB LOT BUNDLE - B&O Bang & Olufsen Bocentre4000 AMP & Beogram1600 Turntable +SPEAKERS INCLUDED: - Beocentre 4000 Amplifier & Cassette Player. - Beogram 1600 Vinyl Player. - A Pair of Beovox s40 Speakers. All come in what seems to be the original box’s with a sticker displaying a serial number and original price stated. please see all photos on listing. Found in a house clearance - sold as seen for spairs or repairs. For transparency, I’m not an expert when it comes to music equipment, least of all bang & Olufsen as this is the first experience I’ve had with the brand so my knowledge is very limited. The amplifier powers on with a red light showing and the cassette loader and counter is also lit up - see photos. The cassette eject mechanism was a little stuck when first trying it but does open now. When attempting to play a cassette there is a clicking sound after pressing the play button for a few moments then the play button unfortunately clicks back out. The rollers try to move while pressing play but doesnt make it more than a qaurter of a turn , but seem to spin freely while fast forwarding and reversing. The fader lights light up when selecting cassette on the amp - see photos. When trying the beogram 1600 vinyl player the plate spins freely but most of the time the arm and needle don’t lift up high enough and seem to just scrape across the player and vinyl until it just returns back to the off position. I have no idea if this is a big issue to fix or if the arm needs adjusting, but even when the needle does make contact with the vinyl theirs no sound coming through the speakers. Also the lid of the vinyl player has been taken off at some point , I’ve attempted to refit with no luck but there is a reseal bag with all of the parts to the lid. My last hope to see if I could get the amp playing was to borrow a aux lead from a friend which unfortunately ended up being a 7 pin lead and this system takes a 5 pin, so I’ve not been able to get any music to play through the system hence it being sold as spares & repairs and reduced price. Ascetically everything is in good used condition with no major defects. There is a slight ringed patter on top of the amp that looks to be from the bubble wrap it has been sitting in for a very long time - see photos. see photos for back of speakers - not sure if the back is supposed to look like this, have wiped down & nothing comes off so i presume this is the pattern & not a overall stain.
