Bang & Olufsen Beogram CD3300 needs some repair as it skips on CD’s and the mechanism to eject CD is not functioning.

Got it home, cleaned it up, plugged it in. The touch controls all responded and when ADVANCE was touched, the CD platter spun (spinned?) for a few seconds then stopped. I tried different combinations of touching and finally got it to spin some Edvard Grieg for about 9 minutes. Then it stopped and now it doesnt spin at all anymore. the manual eject lever on the front works, but you have to coax the lid a bit. The lid will close when advance is touched. I opened it up to see what was what, but didnt see anything amiss. the ribbon cable to the CD drive had a little plastic piece that snugged up the cable, but I was not able to reinsert it. Its not that important. The control glass has a small piece missing on the upper right corner. Thers are a few scratches on the chrome. Motor to lift the lid works but needs some help on the opening. Not sure if the cd player spins or works.
