This was taken back from the original owner who is downsizing from separate components to a Marantz integrated amp and a Node streamer due to age. Good condition. Does not have original packing materials. Will be packed properly to survive the shipping process. Will include a copy of the “user’s guide” and the AC cord. To be clear, this isa “UPnP/DLNA” (IE: networked audio renderer) compatible streaming device that requires using a dedicated PC or MAC (IE: iOS or Android). Meaning that unlike many current steaming devices, the e.One REFStream was designed to be used as a source to access or stream stored music from a external drive or NAS(network access storage). Also known as a networked media server using QNAP or Synology. To accomplish this requires using(downloading) a software controller program. The users guide recommends using “JRiver”. I reached it to Bel Canto directly and they recommended using the “MConnect Player” as a controller instead. Doing this will also give you access to streaming via Tidal and Qobuz, which typically one cannot do on a UPnP/DLNA streaming device. Because of the vintage of this unit, there is not a lot to tell about it in terms of connectivity options, which are: 1 x ST/Glass,1 x SPDIF, 1 x Ethernet. FYI: it does not include the BNC to RCA adapter. If you are able to utilize this particular type of streaming device in your system, you will be rewarded with that great Bel Canto digital sound! This assures maximum signal to noise and extremely low distortion with the shortest audio signal path. The power supply uses a separate low noise regulation for each channel’s gain stage. Audio grade decoupling capacitors, star grounding and careful signal routing insure that low-level signals are preserved. The volume control is a precision Crystal 3310 potentiometer controlled by a microcontroller. This device provides extremely low noise and distortion coupled with high accuracy. The Bel Canto C5i is a very well reviewed, nice sounding, compact and attractive 60 watt integrated amplifier. Only one owner (me). I bought it new in 2011 at Stereo Exchange in NYC. Excellent condition. I do not have the original packaging but it includes the manual, remote, and power cord. Located in near Charlottesville, Virginia if you want to pickup locally.
