As good as it is going to get. Tested and working great. As with any BeoVision Horizon, aka B&O Google platform, it has it quirks. None of the built in apps will work because of licensing agreements. So if you want streaming apps like netflix and max, you will need to get an Apple TV, Roku Etc. You can then download the Apple TV IR codes and control the Apple TV with the B&O Remote. Local pickup only. DOES NOT COME WITH ANY BOXES. I wont arrange shipping, but if you would like to arrange shipping I would recommend uSHIP. I would not trust UPS or FEDEX with this shipment. You want it freighted over by someone putting it in their own trailer/car. It should be handled with care due to the weight of some of the pieces. I purchased his lovely old TV like most people for retro gaming, I wanted a high end 1980s unit. These Bang & Olufsen TVs from this age are quite rare now but were some of the best displays in their day and they have a lovely clear display. This particular TV I believe is from 1982 and was Bang & Olufsens flagship model when it was released. It is in amazing condition externally for the age, the guy I purchased it from, his parents got it from new and had it in a TV cabinet where it stayed until they passed away last year. From there, their son was clearing the house out and he sold it to me. When I got it, it would not power on at all, I opened up the back and found a large film capacitor had let go. While I was in the back of the TV I found a large factory paper schematics which is somewhat useful to me. Once I replaced the capacitor then It would try to fire up but it would just get stuck in a booting loop. I managed to locate another Beovision but this time a 8902 with a damaged tube, they share some parts and were very similar TVs so I swapped the main power board over and it fired straight up. Then I found the aeriel input was very temperamental and even the slightest touch would make it display incorrectly, however for a while it was working fine as long as you didnt touch it. But then the aerial input stopped working and you get sound but a garbled image. I had a go at repairing it but with no luck unfortunately. Im absolutely gutted as this is the exact TV and look I wanted but it is beyond my ability to repair, I know very little about electronics and I tried getting others to repair it but every person I have contacted has no idea how to work on a CRT. Ive since purchased a later Bang & Olufsen from 1989 which I dont like the aesthetics of as much but it works well and I cant keep both so this one needs to go. The remote is a new old stock one I managed to get hold of and works perfectly. I have some spares from the as mentioned 8900 TV, but other than the main board most of it is different as the 8902 had an early version of AV on the board so the boards compensate for this. If you know electronics then Im sure this is an easy fix, but as mentioned this is beyond my basic skills. Like all CRTs of this size it weighs a ton. I can help whoever buys it load it into their car if they are picking it up themselves. Im happy to arrange a courier to anywhere on the mainland unless you are somewhere like the Scottish Highlands, contact me first to make sure its ok to get delivery to you.
