Tests good. Sounds great! This was removed from an HTM1 so the part number is different from the other matrix HTM speakers because this one has shielding included, which is the metal cup and an extra bucking magnet on the back. Works for 805 but not 803 or 804 which use a midrange and not a mid/woofer like this one.

Bowers & Wilkins B&W 804 D3 grilles used pair, these got damaged while shipping my speakers. The fabric in front is still good without any rips, but frame plastic is broken in several places, I tried to highlight all of them in red. The grilles being magnetic, still work and can be put on the speaker for protection from dust, I included some pics of these grilles on my speakers. I tried to fix them with some super glue but didnt work, some remnants spots are there as seen in the pics, maybe you can try with adhesive bond and repair, but these are being offered as defective with no returns. Through the use of aluminum plugs, the frequency response, which is already very linear for simple plastic plugs, is jointly linearized and heat dissipation is maintained. Sound is further separated from the speakers, and further enhanced naturalness makes it even clearer and more accurate. Phase plugs prevent opposing diaphragms from cutting just as reliably. At the same time, when using aluminum plugs, better heat dissipation in the area of ??the pole core increases the load capacity and counteracts thermal changes in sound. The dynamic midrange driver works with particularly low distortion when a copper layer covers the inner pole of the magnet, while the aluminum phase plug provides dispersion of the higher frequencies. So only the right combination of materials does it. The technical explanation is trite: the combination of the two materials linearizes the inductance of the voice coil. This results in a dramatic reduction in distortion.

Selling my beautiful pair of B&W 804 D3 speakers in rosenut. The speakers are 4 years old and come with original accessories and packaging. I love the sound of these B&W speakers, but decide to upgrade to the latest D4 series. (Please see the pictures). I take very good care of all my hifi equipments. They get dusted every other day. I always wear gloves when they need to be moved around. Important: One thing that does not come with the speakers are the isoAcoustics feet that are shown in some of the pictures, but the original plastic feet, and spike feet are included.
