Das einzige, das in meinen Augen auffällig ist, ist das der Receiver nach dem Ausschalten und wieder einschalten, auf Lautstärke 42 steht. Das ist ziemlich laut. The Beomaster 5500 and the Beocenter 9000 were the first of these.The position of the Beomaster 5500 in the range had changed too, with the Beomaster 6000 deleted it was now the top of the range, so all the latest technical refinements had to be included.The basic appearance changed very little. One obvious change what that there was now a miniature 3.5mm headphone jack visible below the aluminium strip across the front of the set. This was necessary because the front panel no longer opened, so the large concealed socket that the Beomaster 5000 had featured was no longer a practical fitment. It may have been argued that with remote control the buttons behind the opening front were no longer needed, but the reason for the change is more likely to have been connected with cost cutting. B&O bang olufsen Beomaster 5500 with remote, sensor and aerial Fully working Beomaster 5500 was the brains and heart of the system which it made up. Connected by Datalink to the record player, tape recorder and CD player it allowed the user to remote-control the whole system via the Master Control Panel. The 2 x 60 watt/8 ohm tuner/amplifier gave true hi-fi quality. Bang & Olufsens Automatic Power Handling Control system prevented overloading and distortion, regardless of how many speakers were connected. Up to 20 stations on the tuner could be preset and the frequency synthesizer took care of automatic search and fine tuning of stations. The result - superb reception of LW, MW and FM wavebands and impressive ease of use.

Reasonable cosmetic condition - the hinges are intact but there are a few marks to the edge of the display screen. Untested.

The most important part, the front profile, is in excellent condition - as are the sides, so in a stack this unit would look extremely good. A little rear clip was missing when we received it so the casing was insecure on one side, but we sourced one from a B&O service centre and its now exactly as it should be. This amplifier is now ready to be enjoyed! Functionality : Fully bench tested and in perfect working order! Shipping : Its pretty large and its HEAVY, but happy to pack it well and ship to any UK Mainland destination for £12.95.
