Due to its age there are of course some minor marks and scratches but overall it is a lovely example of this popular B&O beocenter. Comes with newly fitted genuine B&O SP14 stylus (the replaced stylus is also included in the blister pack, may be useful Original B&O thick smoked acrylic dust cover which has no chips or cracks. Beautiful teak wood plinth and speaker cases. All made in Denmark Speakers have attached cables & plugs. The turntable has speaker inputs as well as two 5 pin inputs for other devices (radio, tape deck etc)All working - you can play 33rpm and 45rpm records (plus other devices) and speakers work wellThe speed selector on the turntable is very temperamental (a bit like cracking a safe!) but once you have the hang of it you can quickly change the speed. VINTAGE B&O BANG & OLUFSEN BEOGRAM 1500 BELT DRIVE TURNTABLE SPARES REPAIR. Terrible cosmetic condition, it’s been sellotaped together previously as the hinge mechanism is broken and it’s missing the screws (and possibly other bits) to reassemble it. Presumably it was taped together to keep it together but it’ll take a few hours of cleaning to shine her up! There’s also damage to the wood and the plastic lid is littered with scratches. I don’t have anything to input the old 5 pin Din connector into so assuming it’s broken and selling for spares and repair only. When plugged in if you press turn, then 33 or 45 it goes to the correct location of where a vinyl would sit (12” or 7”) however the needle doesn’t lower, probably because it isn’t calibrated or the weights wrong but to be perfectly honest, I don’t know how to use this older turntable so selling as broken. I don’t know the condition of the needle, but perhaps even the head-shell is worth salvaging? I had a couple of other old record players too and one had screws for (TRANSPORT MODE) I assume that’s what the ones on this do but wouldn’t mind some advice from buyer prior to packing. If you check through my feedback you’ll see I’ve maintained 100% since 2005 and I pride myself in getting you your item safely. My plan for shipping would be to remove the platter and wrap separately with the rear hinge, use the lid (so to protect the tone arm) but tightly attach it onto the unit again. I would cover the lid and unit it in shrink wrap, then tape it tight over the top so that no more tape is added to clean off on arrival (apart from the old bits). Then tons of bubble wrap and void fill and probably 2 boxes depending on if I think it’s safe. Anyway, sold as seen, even for parts it’s worth this. Dispatched via eBay Packlink.
