Hello and thanks for your interest in my Cambridge Audio 851N streamer/preamp. Im parting with it after several years of ownership and hope it finds a good home where it will get more use. I purchased the unit directly from Cambridge during the pandemic as part of a hi-fi system I put together. I used it as a preamp for a pair of ELAC active speakers, which sounded amazing until one of the speakers blew and fried the analog outputs of the 851n. Thats why Im selling it at for parts: both the analog RCA and XLR outputs need to be repaired. As such the unit is being sold as broken, non-functioning, etc. Aside from the analog outputs the rest of the unit works wonderfully as far as I know, including the digital audio inputs and outputs. You can use it as a network streamer and source switcher but to use the DAC functionality and output a signal to an amplifier youll need to fix the broken analog side of things. The 851N has lots of cool network features, including support for Spotify Connect and Apple AirPlay. If nothing else it makes a nice door stop.
