This Ayre QB-9 was inherited from a family member who paired it with an Apple Mini running Audivarna, a NAD analog amplifier, and PSB floor standing speakers. I’m not set up for a dedicated computer-based source so have chosen not to keep this DAC. I tested the QB-9 in my audio system using both a Macbook Air and an HP/Wintel laptop using USB output to the QB-9 to the analog inputs of a Peachtree pre-amp / Peachtree 220 amp with Paradigm speakers. The QB-9 tested well showing the resolution of the files being played and sounded great.
