Aiwa AX-7600 Stereo Receiver Amplifier Vintage Rare 1970s monster receiver wars. I have tested the amplifier is working and it sounds superb on both left and right channels when connected up to my pioneer HPM-100 speakers (listing is for Aiwa AX-7600 receiver only) as can be seen and heard in the link below https://youtube.com/shorts/6g5gpUD0DDM?feature=share Beautiful sounding and looking receiver Very powerful, warm tube like sound, very musical. Typical over engineered late mid to late 1970s build quality, enormous transformer and huge power supply capacity. Very well made and designed, built like a tank. This beautiful vintage Aiwa receiver holds its own against the bigger known brands like pioneer marantz technics kenwood rotel Yamaha sansui etc.. it outperforms the equivalent model from most of these brands and better looking than some too. I have a copy of the original purchase receipt of £232.80 dated from 1978! I also have the original operating instructions manual with the unit This was part of Aiwa first receiver line-up consisting of 3 models the AX-7400, AX-7500 and the largest and most powerful of the range the AX-7600 which is listed here for sale. Some bulbs on the tuning dial need replacing as they no longer illuminate I haven’t tested the phono section as I do not have a turntable to test it. using the tape and aux inputs the amplifier works perfectly. I can not seem to get a signal on fm just static, the signal meters don’t seem to move much, I have not tried connecting an antenna so unsure if the fm tuner works correctly, the am tuner seems to be functioning as the unit comes with a built in am antenna Overall this is an excellent vintage Hifi amplifier with the stunning 1970s receiver wars look and build quality.
