Picked this up at a sale in a console stereo. Replaced the capacitors, added binding posts, a power switch, a fuse holder and replaced the RCA jacks. Ready to be taken to the next level. There is no bottom for it. It plays music clearly and will function when you get it. It is used and old so I make no guarantee of its longevity as with any vintage audio equipment. It will function when you get it. These usually hold up pretty well in my experience. The majority of the resistors are the original carbon comp, so if you really wanted to, you could put some metal film resistors in there and bring it into the 21st century. The tubes test good as represented in the picture. They test around 90 on my tester A little more or a little less. Your tester may be different. Check out the hi-res pictures and the video. In the video its pushing Altec A5s through a DAC. There is no volume control, so you will need some type of pre-amp and a case for it. I did this for a fun project. It has a smooth, warm tone and sounds nice in my opinion. I listened to it for a while and now Im offering it up. I have another Magnavox mono amp Ill be putting up when I get a tube for it.
