Product description Aurex (Toshiba) SY-?88? preamplifier. (Powered on, but no sound) I got it, repaired it, and used it. The cause of the failure was a short circuit in the power supply transistor. During the repair, all electrolytic capacitors, transistors and FETs were replaced with original, unused ones, and after replacing the semi-fixed resistors, constant voltage and DC balance were adjusted. The exterior is in good condition considering it was released in 1981, but there are some scuffs and scratches on the top plate.
