The cubes are 5 ¾” tall 5 31/32” wide 5 15/16” deep”, made of ¾ inch birch plywood with fronts made from a single piece of Pennsylvania cherry wood.The boxes are unfinished, excepted for the oiled cherry fronts, and they have felt tabs clued to the bottom. Each speaker weighs 2 pounds 12 ounces. The sealed enclosures are lined with a rubberized coating material, “Acoustic Magic,” that is no longer manufactured. Banana plug/bare wire combo terminals are soldered to solid copper wires which are soldered to the spade lugs on the driver. If you Google the Aurasound number you will find the driver specs. I built 7 pairs of these speakers during COVID. They are meant to be a replacement for the nearfield Auratone 5C cubes used in the studio for checking phase and small speaker sound. I have been using them in recording and mixing of acoustic bands with vocals. This particular set has maybe 50 to 100 hours of use, so they are basically broken in. To my ear they sound very good and are not tiring to listen to overextended time. The Bass Shaker products allow you to experience every thump, thrust and shake...the way bass sound was originally intended. Mount the bass shaker firmly onto the object or furniture you want to vibrate. It must be mounted to something solid, like wood. The bass shaker produces a vibration at about 40Hz. Wire two together in series for an 8 ohm load or use a single at 4 ohm. Does not require a crossover. Only a 50 to 100 watt amplifier is needed to power it. Higher wattage is okay of course. Connecting two in parallel is a 2 ohm load, too low for most amplifiers.
