Gently Used 1 Meter Audioquest Fire Analog RCA Interconnect HFA Review: I have tried countless other cables in this critical position, including the relatively affordable Water and some very costly cables. But never did I find a better match and thus, the CH cable remained in place. That is until my friend Niels brought the Fire along for comparison after having purchased it himself upon recommendation from our mutual friend Werner. Well, that comparison did not take long to leave a mark. Ouch! This was not just better, it was considerably better! This prompted me to immediately arrange a review sample. Conclusion Maybe it’s because AudioQuest is most well-known for its affordable lines of cables that the brand gets overlooked for its high-end lines but if this review proved one thing, it’s that this is absolutely undeserved! Not only can AudioQuest make great cables at low cost, but they also make cables that challenge the best that I have heard so far, irrespective of the cost. Yes, you do pay for the privilege, quite steeply so. But given the stellar increase in performance that the cable enables, I still think it’s worth it. Beware, though, as hearing is believing. I am the third person in a row who purchased the cable after hearing it for the first time. You have been warned! The Fire is the all-around best interlink that I have used so far. Hallo mchte hier gerne ein absolut neuwertiges Audioquest Fire Kabel in der Cinch / RCA Ausfhrung. Lnge 0.5m Das Kabel habe ich zu meinen Accuphase Verstrker gebraucht erworben. Der aktuelle NP lag zuletzt bei 2799. Leider hatte der Verkufer keine Verpackung mehr! Rechnung von 2020 konnte ich allerdings einsehen, somit handelt es sich um original AQ Kabel, welches wirklich ganz hervorragend Klingt, da ich das Pegasus als XLR Variante habe, steht das Fire hier zum Verkauf. Hier habt ihr die Mglichkeit Referenzkabel ab 1 zu bekommen. Die Fotos sind nur als Demo, das Kabel ist allerdings im absolut neuwertigen Zustand. Sehen Sie sich dazu meine Bewertungen an. AUDIOQUEST FIRE ANALOG INTERCONNECT RCA 1.0M METER PAIR. 1m Pair of Fire RCA > RCA interconnects. Used in my system for a couple of years and in perfect sonic shape. Some slight patina on the terminations, and one of the barrel connections was replaced at some point and slightly discolored. Purchased as a demo from an authorized reseller of Audioquest. Sonically the cables are perfect and used in my system without issue. DBS packs in perfect working order.

One pair of AudioQuest Fire high end silver audio interconnect cables in a good condition. All conductors of the Fire have a solid core. Conventional cables have conductors with multiple cores (stranded). In a conventional cable, the electrical and magnetic interference between strands of such a conductor are the biggest source of distortion. Often this has the result that the sound gets a sharp edge. The special silver PSS (Solid Perfect-Surface Silver) used for the Fire has a stunningly smooth surface. The silver wire is protected against damage during production. Moreover, PSS is exceptionally pure. The smooth surface and pure silver make PSS an exceptionally good conductor with little distortion, better then copper. AudioQuest has experimented with superior metals for 15 years, but even AudioQuest was surprised by the performance improvement of PSS. Every material that surrounds a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. The insulation around a conductor (but also, for example, printed circuit boards) absorbs energy. Part of that energy is stored temporarily, but released later. This is a source of distortion. Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) Air Tubes were used for the Fire. Air has the property to absorb virtually no energy. The result is an even better focus (less smearing) of the sound.
