This amp is in good used condition with very little physical wear as shown. It was recently recapped and gone through. The power button was bypassed so the unit is now always on when plugged in. You can simply plug it into a power strip with a switch to regain an on/off option with a switch if you so choose. The left gain seems a touch quieter than the right gain and when set at the same levels you can see that the power level doesnt go as high in the meters. The previous owner would simply adjust the gains so that theyd be even and never had a problem with this. Aside from these 2 issues it works great and sounds excellent. All original speakers but the woofers were refoamed at some point. The cabinets are absolutely beautiful and in superb condition. The covers also are in amazing original condition. The speakers work, however the crossovers should be rebuilt at some point. These rare speakers rarely come up for sale, so now is your chance to own a pair. They are located in Tucson, Arizona. Will not ship. They must be picked up in Tucson. QLS-1is a 4-way 17 driver tower consisting of 8 front firing EMITs, 1 rear firing EMIT, 6 soft dome midrange drivers, 1 mid-bass coupler driver in a tube TL alignment, and 1 Watkins 12 dual-drive woofer (poly cone). According to Infinity's literature of the time, the QLS uses a phase-aligned passive crossover network and is capable of 18Hz to 32KHz +/- 3db response. Each tower is about 6ft tall and weighs 190lbs! Cabinets are constructed pf 1 inch particle walnut. Lot of speaker weight is attributed by the thick & heavily damped cabinets. QLS are a dipole design with rear firing tweeter (can be turned off) and mid bass port is open to the back. They throw a wide and huge soundstage with great imaging and dynamics. Speakers disappear while playing music and it seems like music is there...floating and not directly coming from them. Crystal clean highs with a lot of air -- 48 inch strip of EMIT drivers!
