For sale Sony mds ja-50ES top of the line minidisc from my personal collection. Unit performs well except I tried to record in analog but the sound doesn’t go through ( didn’t try optical). So if you want to play your previous recorded minidiscs is fine but if you want to record some new content you need to have it repaired, I don’t have the time for that . Unit is a japanese version so you will need a transformer ( pretty cheap on amazon) , some folks say that can be plugged without a transformer, I have it run with a transformer. No remote or other items comes with, if I find the owner manual I will add it. All the lights work - we have photos of the circuit board - in one photo you can see a red light on the circuit the board - this is an indicator that the front power button is powered off but the main power is on. This currently is running V 1.0 - there is a free 2.0 upgrade available but I dont have a windows computer or running parallels to upgrade it.
