This Marantz DV8400 is in excellent physical and working condition. Was probably the most sought after player in 2003. It retailed for 1599.00 when it was released. Because of its ability to play both SACD and DVD-A with superior DAC specs it became a high end stereo favorite. Of course this was time before HDMI, so this player is designed for component video output and stereo or multichannel audio. It looks like new as I’m the original owner and always was well taken care of. It is complete with factory packaging, manual and remote. Here is some info from Home Theater Magazine: All Dolby Digital and DTS signals are passed via TosLink optical and/or digital coaxial outputs. The DV8400 plays back DVD-Audio, multi-channel and two-channel SACD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, DVD-Video, DVD-R, DVD-RW, and VCD. This model also includes built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoders, plus bass management for SACD. Video images are passed by composite, S-Video or component video. This player offers 192kHz, 24 bit DAC audio processing.
