The 8000CDM featured a Philips CDM9 Pro mechanism housed in a conventional Audiolab 450x320x75mm chassis. The CDM9 was the final model in Philips’ classic line of single-beam swing arm mechs, which many considered to have better sound than the three-beam linear tracking devices that followed. This weighted 6kg, thanks in part to a high-quality toroidal transformer that was unexpectedly huge. To isolate the mech from the outside environment, a visco-elastic polymer suspension system was used, as well as a low-noise master clock. The unit came with optical, coaxial (S/PDIF 75 ohm) and AES/EBU (110 ohm balanced) digital outputs, with a BNC to BNC coaxial interconnect supplied, along with BNC to phono and phono to BNC adapters supplied. Excellent cosmetic condition. Tested and sounds superb. The only thing I have noticed that the left channel does not like very low volume and you have to turn it up to bring it back. Ask questions if you need any other information.

Audiolab 8000c Pre Amplifier Fully Working Great Condition & Sound MM/MC Phono! This is a great pre amplified which I have owned since new which I bought new from Superfi in Nottingham. It is still in that original box. Shortly after buying it I went to CD and moved to an 8000Q which didnt need the phono stage on this, so it has spent most of its life in the box. I found a slight scratch to the rear right corner which Ive pictured. I still think the phono stage on this even though not adjustable offers a better result than many budget phono stages which probable sell on eBay for more than this (you can use it as a phono stage into another amp using the pre out (or the many recording/tape loops). This is the Made in England model which pre-dates the later ones (of suspect build quality) when they were bought out by Tag. Postage will be what it costs me, it is a bit of a heavy one due to the quality of the power supply, components used and build quality. UK Sales only (sorry).

Audiolab 8000CD CD PLAYER. This is in good condition no marks, display is a bit faded but still good to read. This reads discs and sometimes plays them. But mostly it reads and then can’t play.

Audiolab 8000C pre-amplifier with switchable MM and MC phono input. In working order with power cable. However it does have marks on the front and top and some of the text is worn away. Some of the knobs do not line up properly. Also the top plate seems a little pushed in at the rear - which ive tried to photograph.
